Don't Reach Back was originally written by Beau Tyler in the winter of 2008. After recording the acoustic version at his home studio, the song then went through several drastic changes after pairing with producer Jeff Blue (Linkin Park, Hoobastank, Macy Gray). The song formula, verses, and bridge were changed. Additionally, over 90 seconds were shaved off of the song. This was the original version.
